I'm just trying to channel most of it against the sitting Bush administration, and not random voters out there. I'd love to see Bush and Cheney brought up on war crimes. Sigh. A grrl can dream, can't she?evilgrrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02659445866836667557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3446831008688065129.post-22499828913453393322008-12-24T22:14:00.000-08:002008-12-24T22:14:00.000-08:00Thanks for your take on the issue. I see your points and I see Melissa's points, but I don't really agree with them so much because I think that Obama's version of "reaching out" can also be construed as a misguided gesture of appeasement when we need to remember every bit of the constant meanness and small-mindedness of religious fanaticism in all of the Republican administrations.

As a Progressive/ Leftist/Socialist, it troubles me that people like Warren could have influence upon anyone, let alone allowing him to address the nation with a prayer or religious incantation.

People like Warren and the rest of the right-wing Repbulican sheeple have been in total control of this nation for 28 years and have managed to nearly destroy the U.S. Clinton was merely a watered-down Republican who didn't help the situation either.

I want for Barack to be more like Dennis Kucinich. I will do my part to hold Barack's feet to the fire on ALL of his promises, and I will be watching him closely.

I hope his efforts to "make nice"; with various factions doesn't make him lose sight of the fact that he needs to get the cooperation of all liberals and progressives to turn the mess the Republicans made around.

I've asked this rhetorical question before. Why the fuck does this nation need ANY kind of religious ceremony to inaugurate a new President???? What crap! Why don't we just sacrifice a sheep or a goat on the platform? Feh.

Government really needs to distance itself more than ever from right-wing, fundamentalist, evangelical religion.

I hope Barak's choice of Warren as a speaker, won't come back to bite him in the ass.

Just my opinion. :)auntikristhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03198369451654891053noreply@blogger.com
